NFL Week 13: Results on the Gridiron
December 3, 2007
Indianapolis held off the Jags, Adrian Peterson runs over Detroit, Buffalo pulls out a tight one and Oakland isn’t finished just yet! It was an interesting football Sunday on the gridiron as a few teams surprised some people and others let their fans down.
Results of Sunday’s Key Match Ups:
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts 25-28
-Peyton Manning and company held off a tough Jacksonville team to keep on top of the AFC South once again without Marvin Harrison
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans 20-28
-Vince Young finally had a successful day in the air opposed to beating teams with his feet by throwing for 246 yards and 2 touchdowns to improve their record to 7-5
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings 10-42
-Adrian Peterson showed how much he means to the Vikings offense on Sunday by rushing for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns on only 15 carries proving that when the rookie plays the Vikings are a touch team to beat
Buffalo Bills at Washington Redskins 17-16
-It was a defensive battle in Washington that was decided by a field goal in the closing seconds by Bills’ kicker Rian Lindell
Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles 28-24
-One week wonder AJ Feely was picked off left and right by the Seattle secondary leaving the Eagles bruised and battered at 5-7 with their playoffs basically over
Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders 20-34
-Wow, where did this Raider team come from, with every passing week all the AFC West teams seem to be surprising people and making the race for the division title tighter and tighter
Cleveland Browns at Arizona Cardinals 21-27
-Cards D steps up big and slowed down Browns’ quarterback Derek Anderson and their potent offense to improve to 6-6 on this season
New York Giants at Chicago Bears 21-26
-Even though Eli Manning had yet another bad game for the Giants, they were able to pull through and get the win in Chicago
Tampa Bay Bucs at New Orleans Saints 27-23
-Backup quarterback Luke McCown was the hero for the Bucs today, charging down the field in the final seconds to beat the Saints with comeback victory
Monday Night Football Preview:
On Monday, Tom Brady will lead his undefeated New England Patriots against the struggling Baltimore Ravens team. In the beginning of the season, I would have said that this would be a damn good match up, but now, it will just be another easy win for the dominant Patriots and another bad Monday night match up.
