NFL Football Week 8: Trade Talks

October 27, 2007

Even though the trade deadline has come and gone in the NFL, trade talks are still swirling with some pretty big names looking to get moved this off season, which could really shake up the NFL if these players actually get moved.

One of the three really big names that might get moved is Atlanta Falcons very vocal corner back DeAngelo Hall who is no stranger to controversy and now trade talk. The Falcons have been doomed from the start of this season with the whole Michael Vick fiasco and just the fact that this is the worst Atlanta Falcons team I have ever seen (and that is saying something), so the possibility of DeAngelo Hall leaving town, (who happens to be the best player now) is very real, because something has to happen to make this team better (if that is possible).

Another player that might be on his way to another franchise this off season is superstar big mouth wide receiver Chad Johnson of the Cincinnati Bengals. It would be a shame if he does leave Cincinnati because the Carson Palmer to Chad Johnson connection is one of the best duos in the NFL next to Tony Romo to Terrell Owens and Peyton Manning to Marvin Harrison, but the Bengals are not looking good at all and from the sounds of things something will happen this off season and Chad Johnson will right in the middle of it.

And finally, it seems that this maybe defensive end Jason Taylor’s last year with the Miami Dolphins. For his sake, let’s hope this goes down because the Dolphins look like they are not going to be even close to a contender any time soon (they are 0-7 right now), especially this season with running back Ronnie Brown and quarterback Trent Green done for the year. I got to give to Taylor though, the guy is without question one of the best if not the best defensive end in the NFL and is always in the running for defensive player of the year every year, but his team is pathetic year after year.

Remember, this is all speculation and none of these guys may move, but the way these three teams are looking and the talent and value these three superstars have right now, don’t be surprised to see them elsewhere next season.
