NFL Football Week 13: Key Match Ups
December 2, 2007
Week 14 got off to a good start on Thursday with two of the NFC’s best going head to head in Dallas with Romo and company taking down Favre’s Packers, but are there any other must see games this weekend worth watching? Well, the answer is yes and it starts off with a great AFC divisional match up between 9-2 Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars who are sitting quietly at 8-3, just waiting for the chance to take the lead in the running for the AFC South division title over the Colts who have dominated the division for years. So keep your eye on this one because who ever comes out on top, just might be the second best team in the AFC and possibly the NFL behind the New England Patriots.
Must See Match Ups:
Houston Texans (5-6) at Tennessee Titans (6-5)
-The Titans and Vince Young have struggled as of late losing three in a row and the Texans are trying to get their offense were it was in the beginning of the season, these two teams are somewhat of a long shot in the playoff race, but there is always that chance which always makes teams play that much harder coming down to the wire
San Diego Chargers (6-5) at Kansas City Chiefs (4-7)
-The AFC West is up for grabs, so both of these teams have a fighting chance, but even when these teams aren’t fighting for a playoff spot it is always a good match up
Detroit Lions (6-5) at Minnesota Vikings (5-6)
-This game all rides on the chance the rookie superstar running back Adrian Peterson will suit up, if he does, expect a battle, if not, the Lions will runaway with this one
Seattle Seahawks (7-4) at Philadelphia Eagles (5-6)
-If AJ Feely starts and has a game like he did against the Patriots last week, you can expect a close one between these two; otherwise, Seattle will easily improve to 8-4
Buffalo Bills (5-6) at Washington Redskins (5-6)
-Both of these teams started the season hot with playoff aspirations, but after New England put both of them in their place by lighting them up for 50+ points they have really started to cool off with losing streaks, but someone has to win this one
Denver Broncos (5-6) at Oakland Raiders (3-8)
-It is always a battle between these two, bitter rivals and always a close game, should be fun to watch
Cleveland Browns (7-4) at Arizona Cardinals (5-6)
-Cleveland should wipe the floor with the Cardinals, but Kurt Warner and company have been really unpredictable this season, putting up a fight every Sunday, so look for a tight one here
New York Giants (7-4) at Chicago Bears (5-6)
-When Eli is playing good, the Giants are playing good, but the guy is so hot and cold, that you just never know what the Giants are going to do, look for the Bears to capitalize on Eli’s weaknesses and make a game of it
Tampa Bay Bucs (7-4) at New Orleans Saints (5-6)
-The Bucs are very quietly sitting at 7-4 and everyone has seemed to forgotten the Saints’ magical season last year, but Drew Brees hasn’t, this game is dead even with an outcome could go either way
Cincinnati Bengals (4-7) at Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3)
-The Bengals finally woke up last week and these seems REALLY hate each, so this one will be one of the best match ups on Sunday and who doesn’t like watching the Bengals to see what Ocho Cinco is going to do next
