NFL Football Week 14: NFL Playoffs Are Right Around The Corner
December 9, 2007
With the playoffs right around the corner, every game will mean everything for teams that are struggling to grab a playoff spot and others that are holding on for dear life. Unfortunately for us football fans, week 14 is going to be kind of a drag as there are only about 6 match ups worth watching this Sunday.
Key Match Ups:
Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions:
-After last week’s performance against the Minnesota Vikings, the Lions spirits have been crushed, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see an upset against an unsuspecting Dallas team
NFL Football Week 13: Pats vs Ravens…A Little Too Close for Comfort!
December 4, 2007
Wow, there was actually a good game worth watching on Monday Night Football for the first time since, well, last season. This match up between the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens was neck and neck the entire game with the Ravens defense making the Patriots offense look shaky for the first time all season. I know it was a close one for the Patriots in Philadelphia, but this was even closer as Tom Brady was failing to complete passes and if you can believe it, getting sacked.
NFL Week 13: Results on the Gridiron
December 3, 2007
Indianapolis held off the Jags, Adrian Peterson runs over Detroit, Buffalo pulls out a tight one and Oakland isn’t finished just yet! It was an interesting football Sunday on the gridiron as a few teams surprised some people and others let their fans down.
Results of Sunday’s Key Match Ups:
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts 25-28
-Peyton Manning and company held off a tough Jacksonville team to keep on top of the AFC South once again without Marvin Harrison
NFL Football Week 12: Mother Nature Ruled Monday Night in Pittsburgh
November 27, 2007
At first glance you would think, there was no way the Miami Dolphins had a chance against the Pittsburgh Steelers even with Ricky Williams back in the mix, no way, but little any of us know how unbelievably bad the weather conditions were going to be in Pittsburgh on Monday night.
This game was a complete shutout all game, well almost all game. Not until there were 17 seconds left on the clock in the fourth quarter did Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Jeff Reed put the pigskin through the uprights. 17 seconds! That is unbelievable considering that the Steelers have one of the best offenses in the league lead by Big Ben and Willie Parker.
NFL Football Week 12: Thanksgiving Weekend NFL Match Ups
November 25, 2007
With three of the best and more entertaining teams already having played (Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts), one would think that the rest of the holiday weekend will be boring and not even worth watching, but you will missing out on a lot of evenly matched games with playoff implications.
Sunday’s Must See Match Ups:
Even though you may think
NFL Football Week 11: Sunday Matchups
November 18, 2007
Week 11 has arrived and a few questions remain, but some of the most important ones have been answered. Officially, the New England Patriots are the best team in the NFL this season and quite possibly all-time. After they pulled out a win on Indianapolis home turf, it seemed as if the Patriots barely got by, but after seeing the Peyton Manning and the Colts completely implode against the San Diego Chargers last week I think it is pretty safe to say that the Patriots are the top dogs.
The real question now is, “Who is the next best team in the NFL?” The answer is The Dallas Cowboys, lead by superstars Tony Romo and wide receiver Terrell Owens. After beating up division rival New York Giants on Sunday 31-20, it seems safe to say that the Cowboys own their division and the NFC, Romo was as efficient as ever with 247 yards passing, 4 touchdowns and 1 interception. Terrell Owens had a breakout game as well being Romo favorite target with 6 catches, 125 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Although
The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers will have a showdown to see who is the top dog in the NFC on a Thursday night in week 13; it should be a good one and possibly a preview of the NFC championship.
Sunday’s Must See Match Ups:
The Browns have to be the surprise of the season at 5-4 ahead of the Ravens and the Bengals in the AFC North, there is no way they are going to win the division with Pittsburgh playing the way they are, but they will make a good run at the wildcard, so look for them to take down their division foe on Sunday
The Chargers are coming off a huge win over the Colts, but people are calling it a fluke because their offense was non existent, so look for them to make an example of a good Jaguars squad, but Jones-Drew and company have a good shot of taking them down
The Giants are recuperating from a disappointing loss to the Cowboys and the Lions having been upsetting good teams all season with a high powered offense, so this should turn out to be a good one with a good defense taking on a good offense
The Texans are finally back to full strength with quarterback Matt Schaub and wide receiver Andre Johnson coming back, the Saints licking their wounds from a beating by a winless Rams squad, look for both teams to try and prove they are still in the hunt for the playoffs
The Bengals have been really struggling this season with an offense that should be unstoppable, but isn’t and the Cardinals are showing signs of life after beating the Lions convincingly, both teams will be looking to destroy the other on Sunday

NFL Football Week 9: Has Some Compelling Match Ups Besides Patriots vs Colts
November 3, 2007
Even though we will all be waiting anxiously for the AFC showdown between the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots, believe it or not, there are some other football games happening that day, oh yeah, there are.
Here are the other matches that could turn out to be must sees this week in the NFL:
Any game with Brett Favre playing is a must see in my eyes this season, regardless of who the Packers are playing, Favre is playing as if he stepped into a time machine and traded places with his younger self.
Seattle Seahawks vs Cleveland Browns:
Looks incredibly boring on paper, but I guarantee you, there is nothing boring about this Browns team this season with Derek Anderson at quarterback, look for a tight one here as the Seahawks will be desperately looking for a win and the Browns willing trying to show people that they are team to be reckoned with
