NFL Football Playoffs: Two Big NFL Playoffs Upsets
January 14, 2008
Coming into Sunday’s two NFL playoff match ups with Indianapolis Colts against the San Diego Chargers and the Dallas Cowboys taking on the New York Giants, both the Colts and Cowboys were favored by at least a touchdown to win, but that was not even close to what happen in Indianapolis and Dallas when all was said and done.
NFL Football: San Diego Chargers Break the 1st Round Curse and the New York Giants Prove They Belong In the Playoffs
January 7, 2008
It has been well documented over the last couple of seasons that the San Diego Chargers have had a serious problem trying to get out of the 1st round of the playoffs even though they have one of the most talented teams in the NFL, but that all changed Sunday when LaDainian Tomlinson made the leap at the goal line to break the curse on save the season. It was a close as the Tennessee Titans looked like they were going beat Norv Turner’s squad, but Philip Rivers and company were just too determined to make a playoff run. Next stop for the Chargers is Indianapolis to take on Peyton Manning and the Colts potent offense.
NFL Football Week 14: NFL Playoffs Are Right Around The Corner
December 9, 2007
With the playoffs right around the corner, every game will mean everything for teams that are struggling to grab a playoff spot and others that are holding on for dear life. Unfortunately for us football fans, week 14 is going to be kind of a drag as there are only about 6 match ups worth watching this Sunday.
Key Match Ups:
Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions:
-After last week’s performance against the Minnesota Vikings, the Lions spirits have been crushed, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see an upset against an unsuspecting Dallas team
NFL Week 13: Results on the Gridiron
December 3, 2007
Indianapolis held off the Jags, Adrian Peterson runs over Detroit, Buffalo pulls out a tight one and Oakland isn’t finished just yet! It was an interesting football Sunday on the gridiron as a few teams surprised some people and others let their fans down.
Results of Sunday’s Key Match Ups:
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts 25-28
-Peyton Manning and company held off a tough Jacksonville team to keep on top of the AFC South once again without Marvin Harrison
NFL Football Week 13: Key Match Ups
December 2, 2007
Week 14 got off to a good start on Thursday with two of the NFC’s best going head to head in Dallas with Romo and company taking down Favre’s Packers, but are there any other must see games this weekend worth watching? Well, the answer is yes and it starts off with a great AFC divisional match up between 9-2 Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars who are sitting quietly at 8-3, just waiting for the chance to take the lead in the running for the AFC South division title over the Colts who have dominated the division for years. So keep your eye on this one because who ever comes out on top, just might be the second best team in the AFC and possibly the NFL behind the New England Patriots.
NFL Football Week 13: Man Down! Favre Goes Down and Green Bay Falls to 10-2
November 30, 2007
It’s official, the battle of the NFC’s best is over, the Dallas Cowboys came out on top and Green Bay Packers got more than a loss as their hall of fame quarterback Brett Favre went down with an injury to his elbow forcing him to watch the Packer’s first loss of the season from the sidelines.
The Dallas Cowboys vs the Green Bay Packers did not get nearly as much hype as the battle for AFC supremacy in the New Patriots vs Indianapolis Colts midseason match up, but it turned out to be a good one, maybe even better, even though Brett Favre went down in the first half. Backup quarterback Aaron Rodgers proved to be a formidable replacement for Brett Favre as he finally got some time on the field Thursday for Green Bay. Rodgers really showed what he can do out there and didn’t disappoint throwing for 201 yards and a touchdown.
