NFL Football Week 14: NFL Playoffs Are Right Around The Corner
December 9, 2007
With the playoffs right around the corner, every game will mean everything for teams that are struggling to grab a playoff spot and others that are holding on for dear life. Unfortunately for us football fans, week 14 is going to be kind of a drag as there are only about 6 match ups worth watching this Sunday.
Key Match Ups:
Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions:
-After last week’s performance against the Minnesota Vikings, the Lions spirits have been crushed, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see an upset against an unsuspecting Dallas team
NFL Football Week 13: Key Match Ups
December 2, 2007
Week 14 got off to a good start on Thursday with two of the NFC’s best going head to head in Dallas with Romo and company taking down Favre’s Packers, but are there any other must see games this weekend worth watching? Well, the answer is yes and it starts off with a great AFC divisional match up between 9-2 Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars who are sitting quietly at 8-3, just waiting for the chance to take the lead in the running for the AFC South division title over the Colts who have dominated the division for years. So keep your eye on this one because who ever comes out on top, just might be the second best team in the AFC and possibly the NFL behind the New England Patriots.
NFL Football Week 12: Weekend Wrap Up and Monday Night Football Preview
November 26, 2007
As predicted, this week showcased some pretty competitive games and really close calls for some teams that were just a little too confident.
I have to start with the New England Patriots against the Philadelphia Eagles; even though it was the last game on Sunday it was a big surprise that it was that close of a contest.
When it was announced that Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb wasn’t going to play and backup AJ Feely was going to be the starter, I was getting ready to see an absolute massacre, similar to what the Patriots did to the Washington Redskins a few weeks ago and the Buffalo Bills last week, but that was as far from the truth as can be! The Patriots did score on an interception by Ansante Samuel (best corner in football right now) on the Eagles first possession, but after that, the teams might as well have been mirror images of each other, if you can believe that!
NFL Football Week 12: Thanksgiving Weekend NFL Match Ups
November 25, 2007
With three of the best and more entertaining teams already having played (Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts), one would think that the rest of the holiday weekend will be boring and not even worth watching, but you will missing out on a lot of evenly matched games with playoff implications.
Sunday’s Must See Match Ups:
Even though you may think
The New England Patriots are Still #1! Can the Indianapolis Colts Stay Perfect too?
October 23, 2007
It was just another Sunday for Tom Brady and his red hot Patriots as they move to 7-0 with a very convincing win over division rival Miami Dolphins48-28. It was like playing Madden 08 for Tom Brady as he was nothing short of spectacular on Sunday, throwing for a career best 6 touchdowns, just unstoppable and extremely accurate with only 4 incomplete passes (21/25) all game and 354 yards in the air. Needless to say, the New England Patriots are still the team to beat in the NFL and looking like they could definitely challenge the ‘72 Dolphins for the perfect season.
Here is how the rest of the NFL match ups went down:
-Cowboys looked a little shaky at first, but Romo got his boys get into back to form with 277 yards and a touchdown pass to Terrell Owens
Denver Broncos shocks the Steelers 31-28
-the Broncos got the best of Big Ben in a shootout which ended in game winning 49 yard field goal by Jason Elam with time expiring
NFL Football Week 7: Week 7 Rundown
October 22, 2007
The Priest has returned! Yep, you heard it right; running back Priest Holmes will make his first appearance in a Kansas City Chiefs uniform since 2005 on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Priest Holmes was virtually unstoppable before he went down with the a serious knee injury a couple of years ago, practically a guaranteed 100 yards rushing and at least two touchdowns, Holmes was as popular and as good as LT back in his prime. He will not get the bulk of the carries obviously being behind superstar Larry Johnson who had a monster game last week, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him take advantage of the carries he does get in his limited role.
Here is a list of some of the other games happening in week 7:
Atlanta Falcons vs New Orleans Saints
-the Saints showed that they are not dead yet as they lit up an unsuspecting Seattle Seahawks team last week, so I would expect them to do the same against a horrible Atlanta Falcons team, but Bryon Leftwich will get the start at quarterback in place of Joey Harrington, so there just might be a chance for Atlanta to make something happen
NFL Football Week 7: Football Matchups to Watch
October 21, 2007
This week in the NFL will show case a few interesting match ups and possibly a few shockers as well. First you have the New England Patriots taking on the Miami Dolphins. Easy win right? Wrong, the Patriots always seem to have trouble with the Dolphins regardless of their record, so look for a possible big time upset here. It is a long shot, but the way the football is right now, anything is possible.
Then you have the Tennessee Titans against the Houston Texans, the Titans will most likely be the favorite coming into this game, but with Vince Young banged up, Matt Schaub and company might be able to take advantage and steal a win against the Titans.
The Arizona Cardinals against the Washington Redskins should be a good match up too, the Redskins will try and get back on track after losing a close one against Green Bay last week and the Cardinals fate will be determined on whether or not Kurt Warner will be able to play.
After the Bucs made the trade to get running back Michael Bennett to cure their backfield problem,
