NFL Football: The Oakland Raiders Evil Al Davis Strikes Again!

It seems that the most famous (for all the wrong reasons) of NFL owners, Oakland Raiders Al Davis, has applied his wicked and brutal tactics yet again on up and coming Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin.
Obviously the Oakland Raiders had a season to forget this year with a record of 4-12, but even though the ugly record doesn’t show the Raiders improvement, they definitely have improved by leaps and bounds from last year’s embarrassing season under emotionless Art Shell.
With this in mind, Al Davis has reportedly written a resignation for Lane Kiffin, remember that is just “reportedly”, but with Al Davis’ resume of easily giving his head coaches the boot and his unforgettable motto of “Just win baby!”, I would not doubt that the Anti-Christ, I mean Al Davis, would do this without thinking twice.
Once again, “reportedly”, Lane Kiffin has refused to sign the resignation and honor the rest of his contract. Way to go Lane! Don’t let this bully push you around!
I definitely think it is time for Al Davis’ evil reign of the Silver and Black to come to an end because this guy is just making no sense and not helping by changing coaches like the wind blows, the Raiders were bad, but not that bad, give it a rest Al. Oh, and that was a brilliant move sending possibly the best wide receiver to the undefeated New England Patriots this season, just brilliant. Time to move over and let the young Kiffin just win baby!

NFL Football: Superbowl… Tom Brady’s Injury

If you haven’t heard already even though every sports channel and sports network has reported it all Wednesday long, Tom Brady has sustained a high ankle sprain that has him wearing a walking cast.
Disaster for the undefeated New England Patriots right? Wrong, from what I am hearing the injury will not affect his status for the Super Bowl, but if you have seen the video that has been playing over and over on ESPN, Tom Brady is noticeably limping. So I think somebody isn’t telling the truth.
I don’t know about you, but if you have ever sprained your ankle (and I have about 10 or more times playing basketball), you know that it is not something that just goes away in two weeks. In fact, two weeks later, depending on the severity of the sprain, you ankle will be black, blue and just plain nasty. That is a good thing though because once you notice bruising, then the swelling has gone down, but you are nowhere near 100% or in game shape.
Although I feel for Tom Brady because it must suck to have cameras all over him in Boston 24/7, but this will make New York Giants fans very, very happy and unfortunately for pretty boy Tom, he will have a big, no huge target on that ankle come game time.
This Super Bowl could turn out to be pretty good if it turns out that Brady isn’t 100% on Super Bowl Sunday on February 3rd.

NFL Football Super Bowl 42: New York Giants vs. New England Patriots

On February 3rd in Glendale, Arizona the New York Giants will try and do the impossible by beating the undefeated New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.
The conference championships on Sunday showcased some interesting match ups and unpredictable outcomes, especially in the NFC where the Giants were able to contain Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers’ running game lead by Ryan Grant.
It was another cold one at Lambeau field with the temperature being almost unbearable and near impossible to play in, but Giants quarterback Eli Manning wasn’t fazed one bit as he lead his team to the promise land and his first Super Bowl.
The AFC conference championship on the other hand ended with a the predicted outcome as the Patriots took the victory, but Phillip Rivers and the Chargers didn’t not go out without a fight; at one point it seemed the Chargers were in control and on their way to the big game in Arizona.
You would think if you can force the New England Patriots to make turnovers, you have a pretty good chance at winning the game, especially when you intercept 3 of Tom Brady’s passes. Even though the Chargers played arguably the best defense on what has become an unbeatable offense, it just wasn’t enough to end the Patriots Super Bowl campaign. Phillip Rivers was noticeably banged up (admitted he had surgery a week prior), Antonio Gates was a total non factor and LaDainian Tomlinson was only involved in 3 plays because of injury. With all this going on, I still got to give it to them; the Chargers gave the Patriots a run for their money.

NFL Playoffs: NFC Championship Green Bay Packers vs New York Giants

Last year around this time, everyone was wondering whether or not future NFL hall of famer Brett Favre should retire, most people said he should hang them up and go out as one of the toughest, passionate quarterbacks all-time, but man how he has proved everyone wrong leading his Green Bay Packers one game away from his third Super Bowl appearance.
Earlier in the NFL season, it was projected that Green Bay and the Dallas Cowboys would almost certainly be playing in the NFC Championship game, but with the impressive play by Eli Manning and his tenacious defense, the Giants are surprising everyone on their road to the Super Bowl.
Green Bay will be the obvious favorite to win Sunday’s game at a really, really cold Lambeau Field, but New York has been somewhat of an ultimate underdog by being underestimated the entire season from coach Tom Coughlin on the hot seat to questions on whether Eli could lead this team to the promise land, so you can never count these boys out, but with Brett Favre playing the best football maybe ever, it will be either an all out battle between these NFC powerhouses or a blowout much like Green Bay’s last game against the Seattle Seahawks last weekend.

NFL Football Playoffs: The Stage is Set for the NFL Conference Championships

The stage is set for some of the biggest games of the year in the NFL.
The cream of the crop, the NFL’s elite, the best of the best! The NFL will showcase two of the best quarterbacks, the best running back and quite possibly the best all around team in NFL history. Yes it will be an interesting and very entertaining weekend for all football starting with the San Diego Chargers trying to take down an extremely hot New England Patriots team in Foxboro.
NFL Football Playoffs: Two Big NFL Playoffs Upsets

Coming into Sunday’s two NFL playoff match ups with Indianapolis Colts against the San Diego Chargers and the Dallas Cowboys taking on the New York Giants, both the Colts and Cowboys were favored by at least a touchdown to win, but that was not even close to what happen in Indianapolis and Dallas when all was said and done.

It’s official, the Green Bay Packers are going back to the NFC championship game and Brett Favre is playing the best football we have seen him play, maybe ever!
